Remembered this time to post this properly
We finally ended up in a small historic town that, unbeknownst to us, was in the middle of a music festival. The city is quaint, with beautiful old buildings that predominantly house small boutique-type businesses. I am still new to this type of photography, and I'm sorry I didn't do a better job showcasing historical architecture! Now that I am aware of this, I will try and do better! You will note there are some people in the one shot!
I have to say they have a lot of creative people in this town, and no detail is left unturned—their manholes are even decorated! It's an interesting town, and we have plans to explore it further, as they are having more events in May—October.
So, I am continuing to try to expand on my subject!
Warning: For squirrel lovers, Trendy plans to appear in the next few days! We worked together today for over a half hour, and she was happy and in a good mood!
As always, constructive feedback is appreciated! I know I have a long way to go
I think you’ve got a pretty good grasp on how to use your iPhone 15 Pro Max. Those are good photos, well-composed, sharp, with good color. I liked those colorful manhole covers, and that tobacco sign is just plain cool. Thanks for sharing.
Really good. They sure like their windows arched.
You and the I Phone 15 pro max did a great job. Beautiful group of photos.

Thanks, appreciate the feedback. I like the phone, but there's still so much to learn as it has a lot of good features. Yeah, I never saw manhole covers like that. Someone was being creative!

Thanks. Yes, it's a very old town, and it's nice to see they are trying to maintain the architectural features.

Thanks for that. It was a new experience for me, for sure. I typically shoot alone, and it's wildlife. I'm so glad you liked it!

Fstop12 took photos of manhole covers to document his travels, as well as murals on the sides of buildings. They were pretty cool and interesting. We haven’t heard anything from him in several months and no one knows what’s happened.
Greg, I remember his manhole covers and murals commented how great they were. Have traffic court Wednesday and Thursday. You remember that. Rode the Harley yesterday for the first time in a few months. Back seems much better. Wind therapy was good. Have a great week.

Interesting. I think I remember someone posting that there should be a way to check on people. In many respects, we are like a big family.
I am actually starting to shoot more murals, as they seem to be cropping up more lately. I am just gathering them now in a folder.
Thanks for sharing!

Yes, I remember traffic court well. I issued a lot of citations during my career but only had a few that were contested. We had a magistrate here who notoriously favored defendants, until we took him out on a couple ride-alongs and he got a good, up front view of what went on. He changed his stance after that.
Glad you enjoyed the ride. I agree with the wind therapy. Here’s another therapy I didn’t appreciate. That day, on the ride home, we went through rain, to hail, to snow, all within 5 miles! Most of the snow/sleet had melted by the time I got home. This is what was left.

I don’t know how we could actually check on anyone here unless there is a member who knows that person personally and can check. It’s interesting that Fstop12 just disappeared from the forum. I’ve tried sending a couple PM’s, but got no response. I believe he was in his late 70’s, so who knows?

In Sanford we have over two hundred cases on a Thursday and one hundred and forty cases on our light day Wednesday. The officers have to be present. Most of the time the defendant will enter a plea of No Contest for no points if they have a decent record. Still pay the fine. Did a lot of ride alongs and some fly alongs when we had a pilot. I would say the average conviction rate is about 99.5 percent. Looks like you went through some nasty weather that day. That was the problem with NY but now in Florida it is much better. I agree we are a small family and should have a way to keep in touch in case of emergencies etc. I sent you my email feel free to use it anytime or share it with any group members. Maybe we should set up a contact list for our group. Have a great week

Barb, great shots but you and your friend MUST take a 45 minute drive to Bell Buckle Tn. TINY town (about 410 people). I would have moved there if my son hadn't lived in Alabama when I downsized and moved. A friend of mine used to own the Bell Buckle Arts and Crafts shop there (sadly she passed away), but the OLD OLD town is full of adorable shops. People come there from EVERYWHERE and usually return again and again. You park on a huge quilt pattern on part of the street. Bell Buckle Cafe is a wonderful place to eat and you never know when some country music star will suddenly pop in, sit down and belt out a few songs.

Greg br In Sanford we have over two hundred cases ... (

I have the idea that you are a judge or magistrate yourself. That’s a lot of cases.
Actually, the day was beautiful, but, as usual in the afternoon, rain storms were brewing against the mountains to the north and we ran into one of them as it drifted over the west side of Wasilla. By the time we got into Wasilla itself, the weather was still nice!! That was an intereseting adventure for several minutes, for sure.
