Couple More Mississippi Bottoms Snaps.

Ysarex Loc: St. Louis

The first is from early this morning; tow headed down river past the Portage Des Sioux Power Plant. The second is from yesterday morning -- a winding road in the Ill. bottoms. I put them together because they're both overprocessed. My wife says she likes them but they're not normal for me. Got to try stuff every so often.... Fuji X-T4 w/16-55mm.

Only you know if they are over processed, It could just as easily been the time of day you took the photos

Thanks. Here it is. Not so dramatic, but more true to reality. Still can't resist darkening that sky quite a lot.

Yes it does -- it feels right. I've traveled most of the North American continent; seen the mountains, seen the desert, seen all the coasts and all the oceans that border North America and I feel most comfortable where the land is flat and grows food, the soil is black/brown and grows food, and there's lots of water. When I spent some time in the south west I realized I was uncomfortable because the environment wanted me dead. Here I feel like the environment wants to help keep me alive (except for the tornados they're forecasting tonight).
