UPDATE
Sadly the news is not good and what we are praying for is the peaceful passing of Isaak as the damage is way to extensive to his brain.
The doctors are working with his Mother to basically ween him off the coma inducing drugs and let his body do what it will do. His brain has swelled so badly that one side of the brain is essentially dead. A portion of his skull was removed and even that has not stopped the swelling which is now pushing on the brain stem. Since he was apneic for >10 minutes prior to paramedics arriving and intubating, there was also extensive brain damage from anoxia. We do not know when the next update will occur as the process is complicated and obviously very emotional.
I will try and update as I hear any news but we are giving his Mom support but room to deal with this. She and Isaak have a large family surrounding them in support so that is one positive note.
Please let me THANK all of you "Hoggers" who have commented, sent thoughts and prayers our way. It has been felt and helpful. THANK YOU for your ONGOING support.
Jim

Praying that God's peace encompass your family.
I'm so sorry to hear about this terrible chain of events. I'll add your family to my prayers tonight. Wishing for you to hear good news soon.
Dear UHH friends and cohorts,
At 5:00 PM PDT this day, my Great Nephew Isaak was taken off life support and passed away peacefully. He had never regained conciousness from the accident and never suffered. He had no brain activity and the family made the choice to remove the life support equipment. He was so physically traumatized that organ donation was not possible.
I would like to personally thank each and everyone for your support, thoughts and prayers. It is going to be a real tough road ahead for the immediate family especially the little 5 year old brother who adored his big brother Isaak.
May you all remain healthy and hug those close to you.
