My wife doesn't like downers. She asked me, "why did the wife have to die?" Although she couldn't tear herself away from it, it wasn't her kind of movie. I thoutht it was a great story.

We liked the movie but saw it after reading the book. We both were weeping after reading it. Frankly, the book was better (IMHO). But my wife and I like to read real paper page books.

Same thing with Gorky Park. There was just so much more detail in the book.

Fantastic movie! I didn’t realize Kevin Costner provided Enzo’s voice.
I agree that it’s a movie for both dog lovers and racing fans. An all time great.
