Nice image.

If you use Lightroom, you could try to hide those lighter colored sploshes around the cat's whiskers. If you shot in RAW, the Dehaze slider may remove them. Or if that doesn't work, drag the black's slider a bit to the left, and you will see them disappear. In either case, just slide enough to do the job, but no more.

If you have Photoshop, you can accomplish the same effect by going to Image/Adjustments/Exposure and look for Gamma Correction and drag the slider to the the right to also hide the lighter colored sploshes.

Thanks very much, Jim. I use PS Elements and should be able to adjust. I generally edit in a bright room, which is a bad idea when wanting to see what's hiding in the shadows
