I found these just recently on property in a tiny coastal village. I have never seen people around but they've truly left an ugly mess, And a sign I hope we never need. It's still on the side of a bank building and brings back memories of the 50s
Lets balance this out with some earth beauty to enjoy.

p. 9 - #1 - Have never seen anything like that #2 is just plain fun and inspires a laugh #3 is stunning!
Would these footprints mean people enjoy the environment? Or is enjoyment trampling the grasses that prevent erosion or habitats of endangered bird. It could be, right? Great strides have been made here in protecting both shoreline, endangered birds, and still making it possible for humans to also enjoy and co-exist. Dogs are allowed, leashed, on beaches at certain times of the day year round.

I have NEVER seen a killdeer nest. I hear the birds and see them frantically flying to distract from the nest but never see a nest. They certainly know how to camo but they live precariously!
You are right about the camo!, I know right where the nest is, but it is still difficult to find when she is not on it.
It’s always good to hear when someone likes a photo!
I do in fact have a name. Guess I hadn’t realized it didn’t show up any place. 😊
It’s Elaine. I guess I ought to add a signature… Now that gives me something else to think about.

A Kildeer decide to build a nest next to the drive into the building where I work. Don't worry, the nest is on landscape rocks where no one drives, though it is close
P 8. That’s sweet and scary. What will happen when the eggs hatch?

I really love that first shot!
The set of pics above it—
The first picture is just sad. The Shelter sign brings back a lot of memories. And the car doesn’t look that old. 🤔
