In my opinion this is and excellent choice for EDC. Rather than rambling on the various EDC options however I'm curions about the photographic points here. To my eye these are very good photographs. The objects have been prepared so the surfaces are clean, free of dust and other imperfections so as to not be distracting in a sharp clean image. The entierty is in good focus. What equipment and techniques did you use and are you willing to pass along what you learned or know about how to achieve good results? Did you use a tilt/shift lens or use focus stacking for example?

I think your photo is very well done. Details are fine and shadows mild. I just think it would be hard to fire this weapon with a bullet in the trigger guard.
Fortunately that shot shell comes out pretty easily and can be used for another shot in a proper firearm. I appreciate your comment and observation.

Thanks for taking a look.
Yup, all are quality firearms.

I wanted something a little lighter/smaller and went with the Sig P238 in .380...it is a real gem!
Just make sure you practice and with the ammo you carry. I had two consecutive stoppages with my Sig P365 and factory fresh Sig ammo. It was unnerving to say the least. I changed ammo brands and continue to test. This also made me rethink switching from my J frame S&W.

Thanks for great advice. Is your gun still somewhat new and maybe not quite broken in yet? Sometimes just shooting it can wear in the parts but sometimes not. I have also found different ammunition can mean everything especially with pistols. The failure part of some ammunition could be nose shape that is not allowing the cartridge to go up the feed ramp properly, possibly the length of the cartridge itself. Sometimes a cartridge from another manufacturer makes all the difference with reliability.
I have an older J frame S&W 3 inch and also a much older Colt Detective Special 3 inch. I do not often carry them as EDC but would have no problem doing just that. Both are dependable and accurate enough to work well.
Best of luck to you,
Dennis

Surprising to me in that the pistol was not "new" (a few hundred rds. at least). The stoppages were failure to fully chamber the last few hundredths of an inch. they functioned well in another 9mm pistol (Hammerli). And, I began with a fully cleaned and lubricated pistol.
