This is the first post of yours that almost seems reasonable.
I cannot lead you to see the "Really Big Picture" because you have only specific issues viewed through a lens constructed by the radical right, which uses the same hateful speech regardless of country, language or historical period. You have chosen to stand for the side of hatred.

Given world history, I am aware that optimism is really a pipe dream given the cruel reality of human nature. We have evolved as a territorial animal, who fights to the death for every piece of what we consider ours. In college, I read a great book by the famous ethologist Konrad Lorenz (who by family name could be a distant cousin of mine) titled "On Aggression" He talks in the book about his observations of aggressive territorial behaviour in animals. Certain species of Herring Gulls, for example, when confronting each other, will yank out nearby tufts of grass to demonstrate superiority of strength. The kicker was the implication of how much further evolved they were than us, by turning actual warfare into a symbolic gesture bypassing the actual violence. In the book, he shows other species doing similar. My takeaway was that humans are not as evolved.
