The cactus around here are fixin' to bust out. Can you imagine what they would look like if all of these buds bloomed at once? And how many bees there would be here?

Thanks for looking, and your comments are always welcome and appreciated!

Very nice, Kathy. You are right, they would be beautiful all blooming at once.

Thanks, Ken. That is an unusual number of buds! I'm going to check on this guy in a few days to see how he's doing.

We have a median divider strip about a mile from home that looks to have about 100+ blossoms in about a 15 foot area… looks like a red prickly pear explosion. Never seen anything that dense at one time. That was yesterday evening. I would bet that they are already starting to wilt today.it has been seasonable warm with no rain throughout April high 90 degree temps apparently we’re in the cacti “sweet spot” right now. Enjoy it while you can.😎

Keep an eye on them. They'll burst one of these days and every bee west of the Mississippi will converge on them!

They definitely show some promise. Hope you get your wish and are there to capture the event.

I went to Desert botanical Garden yesterday, cactus and wild flowers are blooming like crazy. Cheers -- Dan.
