Mum and I once won a contest because we have so much 'junk' in our purses. Between us we had everything that they asked for on the "treasure hunt", including a sewing kit with sewing needles and a little scissors.
Love you back Susan

Hahaha. Why am I NOT surprised haha luv you too.

Good morning from Port Hope Ontario Canada. It is 6:16 am EDT and 0'C (32'F) going up to 10'C (50'F) with sunshine.
Brioche class on Saturday was good. Lots of laughs and concentration. One lady was taking it for the second time. As soon as we finished, another asked when the advanced class would be held. They all wanted to do shawls with brioche. For most of those patterns, they already have the skills. After the class we drove quickly to the farm to pick up more bird seed because the squirrels have eaten everything. We took in a few of the bird feeders that the squirrels won't leave alone. Although the grackles are almost as bad as they pick through the seed to find the ones that they want (makes me think they're not that hungrey)
So Sunday was catch up for all the chores. Mum went to her sister's for the weekend, unfortunately my aunt's 1 bedroom apartment isn't really set up for company, so mum ended up sleeping on couch cushions on the floor. It was good to catch up with her sister and brother.
I figured out that I didn't have enough yarn to complete another pair of socks for DD, even shorties, so I frogged everything and gave her the yarn. She'll add it another project.
Good morning from Port Hope Ontario Canada. It is... (show quote)

Those Grackles are like us. If we were at a buffet we would only eat our favourites.

I started picking up stitches with the 2 cables that I have. I just need a 3rd. It's in progress.
I really want to do more large projects but I'm not good at finishing them.
Tonight is cottage roll ham, and tomorrow is leftover meatloaf from the weekend. The fridges are stuffed at the moment from bi-weekly shopping but it won't take long for that to change.
Monday, my least favourite day of the week.
Good luck with your knitting.

My knitting has stalled for a week now. My right thumb is very painful. It's annoying because I have knitted front back and both sleeves and only have to join bits up and knit the neck. I like large projects, but like to finish them as quickly as possible.

It's amazing what they can do with those keyhole surgeries, but just because the incision is small doesn't meal that the surgery was minor.
I hope you can convince him to slow down for a little while.

I am not having to try too hard. He is exhausted most of the time. MY problem is getting him to eat, but we all went out for breakfast this morning and he ate a full English. We did not go to the Airport because their menu has changed and is much more expensive, plus we have to pay for parking. We found another restaurant in the park at the west end of Worthing beach. We will go there again. Eric loved it as there is a large pond and it is full of baby frogs.

Which one? He's not messing up mine! He can be tied to the roughest as it can't be driven anyway.

Got thru the appointment by sleeping in car while son went inside. Had lunch at Cracker Barrel and then went to see a movie half price Tuesday slept in car waiting for movie time and nodded off during the ads in theater. Nice man held the door for me. So cute I wanted to flirt but didn’t. Loved the movie about world war 2. Your kitty is better than an alarm clock. Min is like that too

The one good thing about getting older is that you can flirt and get away with it.

Mum was snoozing in her car waiting for her doctor's office to open and someone banged on the window and asked if she was ok.
No one holds doors for anyone here. It's not politically correct.

That’s what happened to me. Fellow knocked on car window to see if I was ok I think that’s very nice. I love a person who helps me in any way holding the door or such. Yesterday I told a friend I was meeting the girls and she told me they are not girls she learned that in Some class on women’s rights or such. I should call them ladies. I said they are old ladies do you want me to call them old ladies? Well I will call them what I want to call them. there is a show called the Golden Girls and they are not little girls. I’m like the red hat ladies I will wear red and purple if I choose and be politically incorrect if I choose and it doesn’t hurt anyone’s feelings. Now I’ve stepped off my soap box.
I chatted with my friend who has cancer and her treatments brought back memories of my hub’s treatments. Made me nervous thinking of it. Pet my cat and said some prayers and feel a bit better.

I 'technically' got my license and health card renewed yesterday. It will take 4 weeks to get my new cards to me. In the meanwhile I have to carry two pieces of paper saying that I have renewed them. Do you know what happens to paper in my purse. So I have folded them up in little wads so they will fit in my wallet. Hopefully they will be safe in there.

I keep a small zip@lock sandwich bag in my purse for receipts etc but sometimes I take it out to go thru them and forget to put it back.

Good morning all from a dull and cloudy Norfolk and only 4C outside. Been a busy morning out there today, rubbish men came at some stupid early time and then the RAF and USAAF decided to fly all their planes over my house, needless to say I didn't get much sleep in. Off to see the gastroenterologist this afternoon, not expecting a lot of answers but keeping fingers crossed, if not I don't know where I go from here. Not a lot of knitting expected to be done today. Have a good one if you can. xx

Good morning from Port Hope Ontario Canada. It is 6:51 am EDT and -4'C (25'F) going up to 8'C (46'F) with sunshine. At least there is no wind.
Yesterday the squirrels and birds emptied the feeders in less than an hour. They do that when it is cold out.
There were no licenses at work again. But I kept adding new users anyways. I figured that the boss' boss would see the error messages and he did. He bought about 25 of the lesser (cheaper) licenses, but none of the more expensive licenses that office workers need. I have about 30 student office workers set to start over the next 2 weeks. So I've decided to give them all the lesser licenses and they can complain. That seems to be the way that things actually get done. Every summer it is the same thing.
The province has announced that they are going to fund yet another battery plant for electric cars. (So we get to produce the dirty part that doesn't get recycled! Apparently the lithium batteries for EV cars CAN'T be recycled. Once the lithium is used in a battery, it's chemical composition is changed and it can't be used again.) And since the government is paying for these battery plants, they can close at any time and move somewhere that produces more profits. It's just profitable to be here now because our governments have mandated that all cars sold after 2030 MUST be electric, not gas/petrol and not hybrids. (What about hydrogen fuel cell cars? Our prairies developed those engines and they have been completely overlooked)
I fixed the arms on the old project that I pulled out, now I just need to finish the body. I've got a few rows where I have added another ball where the stitches look pulled. I'm hoping that will block out.
