Yes, that's a concern mentioned by several and I definitely see the point. I remember not attempting to include the top because of ugly bits of the building + sunlight on a hill beyond. Will keep an eye out in case they move one of the tables to a more photographer-friendly spot. Of course, by then they'll have put on the umbrellas

That happens in a lot of situations. You try to make the best of it, but you are held back by something out of your control.
But it is a nice start, it is an interesting capture. Even the background adds to it.
I don't know if the suggestion would improve the photo or not, but it is interesting.
