Sorry ladies. I have been AWOL again.
Alan has had his operation. They were hoping just to remove the gallstones, but there were more and bigger ones than expected, plus an infection. He had had to wait too long for the op. He now has four bullet holes ( keyhole surgery) including one huge one through which everything including a 1" stone was removed. He was sent home after a few hours, and was violently sick on the way home, from the anaesthetic.
Following all of which he will not stop and let himself heal. He's driving me mad.
I'll catch up now.

So pleased that's all over although it sounded a rough time. I've always reckoned they send you home way too soon after an op. DH did the same in our neighbours car. Hope you're good at knots so you can tie him in a chair. Good luck, you'll need it. xx

I haven't purchased a knitting magazine for a long time. Enjoy.
So much knitting patterns on computer no need to buy magazines. Cross stitch I need to be close to see the stitches. I make them bigger on computer but not comfortable holding it while stitching. Foolishly I made appointment for son’s doctor at 11 am so need to get up 9 am. Take meds at 2 am. Hope I can fall asleep then. When I want to I can’t.
Good morning all from a sunny Norfolk atm but still only 5C in the wind, although that seems to have died down a bit. Bread making this morning and nice and thick brisket stew soup and baguette for dinner. Big chore for the day will be done so knitting this afternoon. DH decided a few weeks ago that he wanted a holiday and needed to get away even though I'm not up to it so he's decided where and when he's going on his own. He's off to Corsica on May 11th for two weeks, good luck to him, he'll need it. At least I get two weeks break. He'll be away for his birthday so no favourite meal for me to cook and will also be missing his sister's 90th birthday which I think is a bit mean. Anyway you all have a good day. xx
Good morning from Port Hope Ontario Canada. It is 6:57 am EDT and 4'C (39'F) going up to 13'C (55'F) with showers.
I need to go at lunch time to renew my license and health card.
The drive in and out of work was busy. Work was also busy, but not as many people were in this time, and they weren't at the alternate site, because I checked. I made sure I contributed to "workplace culture". I also read an article on the internet that says that having people together in work makes them think of their co-workers as friends and they are more likely to work for less money to stay with their friends. This year is a negotiating year for our contract. hmmmmm
Experts are saying that wildfires in the western half of this country are going to be worse than last year because of lack of snow pack in the mountains and prairies. (What's left to burn after the extensive fires last year?)
I knit a bit on a shawl that didn't require much brain power.

I was up at 4:30 this morning, because Tazi-kitty saw the sun coming through the blinds and figured the day had started. (She wanted her breakfast).
I hope you can get ready and don't feel rushed.

Yeah, I'm thinking you made need to use your knots to tie him to a chair.
It's amazing what they can do with those keyhole surgeries, but just because the incision is small doesn't meal that the surgery was minor.
I hope you can convince him to slow down for a little while.

If they are making a change that will affect you, does it hurt to DISCUSS it before it is done?
There is a huge gossip at work that I try to avoid (and it isn't a woman!)
Bundle up in your woolens and stay warm and dry.
Love you back Susan

Good morning from a 52°F going up to around 62°F later. Again no plans so will get on with some knitting later. I hope you all are staying safe and well and having as good a day as you can. xxxooo
I hope you had a good unplanned knitting day.
I've caught up and I have time to feed the birds (and squirrels).
Everyone have a good day, stay safe and well, or feel better soon.
