Yikes! You realize, I hope, that it's considered poor form to post photos in another's post without permission? Some people get downright persnickety about it!

I didn't realize that. To try to delete my post, I went back to see if I could find a DELETE button, and could not find such. Is there any way for a user to delete a post?

Over the years, working with one client has given me several fringe benefits. The first came when I shared the opportunity to photograph the cats. Today, as I pulled into the drive, I saw that the mom had gone into full gardening mode and had plants sitting in their pots ready to be planted. This mom goes all out in everything she does! You should see her place at Christmas. Nothing goes undecorated, not even her animals. So I was excited to see she was going to garden again.

So, I decided to get a jump start and took a few shots. Can't wait to see the garden in full bloom!

This is a relatively new subject for me, so you flower perfectionists, I ask that you remember when you first started

I hope you enjoy my attempts!

These are really nice photos, Barb. The concept especially! I went through the post twice to see which lens you were using and finally saw that you had used your phone camera.
I have to say, right up front, that I'm not a smart phone camera kind of guy! So please don't take this personally...but sharpness and depth of field would be better achieved with a "real" camera. Yeah, yeah, let the beatings begin!
What I mean by "concept" is that I like the up close and personal approach with the flowers. Some of the shots look like you got a Bee's eye view of the inside of the flower, very cool!
Are you planning to use your new lens for these kinds of shots? I would be very interested to see some if you do! Thanks for sharing your flowers with us! Keep shooting 'till the end, Barb!

You can use the "Report Issue" button at the bottom of the post to contact Admin and they can delete it! Not trying to give you a hard time. But it is against the "rules". And, as I said, some folks get pretty riled about it!

Bee's eye view, I love that description. I appreciate your feedback always! Actually, I've never had luck with cell photography until this one, which is why I purchased it. This is the best camera they have, and thanks to changing my carrier, I got a good deal!

I'm not taking your comment personally, nor should anyone else! That's a good idea about trying a comparison. While I wouldn't feel comfortable doing it in the store, my client's garden, where these were shot, would give me an opportunity. I will see him next month, so these should be planted, as well as other stuff should be in place.

I just checked as I am still new with the phone there apparently is a way to play with the depth of field! So thanks for that feedback! Thanks

Excellent photographs, all. I am glad to see you looking at the tiny parts of flowers. As you get closer you will find many flowers have geometric designs with smaller individual flowers inside the larger single flower. Flowers are somewhat of a study in themselves. Well done.

The first 3 images reminds me of the pictures one would get from a colonoscopy...with polyps yet to be removed.

We are all about our perspectives, aren't we? As a Speech Pathologist, that would be a version of nodules with the same coloring. It's a beautiful image, especially the color.

Keith, however, is correct about posting, but since you didn't know, no offense. This is because others begin to react to that image, and the original post is lost. As for deleting, no worries, but you can always contact the administrator, and they can do things like that. The navigation/rules here are a real learning curve!

Thanks for taking the time to respond!

Wow, thanks for the lovely compliment! I agree, the flower is a study. It looks so simple at first glance, but then you realize it's more than it seems! It's sort of like people. I think that's why I photograph them typically like this because it feels I'm getting to know them better. Helps as I miss the interaction I get from interacting with my squirrels!

Per Keith's response, I did submit a request to Admin to get that post deleted. Hopefully, it will shortly be gone.
