Tallest Waterfall in Yellowstone, the 1200' Silver Chord Cascade

This horsetail type fall is in the Canyon area of the park about a mile hike from the Glacier Boulder. Kind of a drab day and limited shooting area.

Shot from the north rim.

Ribbon Lake, on the south rim, is the origin.

Thanks, Keith! Kathy didn't like the inclined ledge we shot from.

I scooted around on the seat of my pants and it seemed to be safe enough.

Thank you for commenting. The short hike out is relatively flat from the Glacier Boulder. It puts you on the edge overlooking the Grand Canyon on a wide and flat ledge and if you stay back too far you can't see down into the canyon. You are not far from the Upper and Lower Falls.
