It is a great subject for a b&w conversion and I hope you worked around it and made other shots of it. I like to add contrast to my images and I also like to add a slight amount of warmth to simulate the Agfa fiber base paper I used for so many years.
Obviously, my taste could be different to yours but what is important is to photograph what we like, our own style, the rest is not important..
