Our constitution plainly says:
"All men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights."
Hint - these are Rights, NOT a priviledge bestowed by ANY government.
Last I checked - the gubbiment does not qualify as our Creator.
Rights CANNOT be Licensed like a priviledge can (such as a drivers license or a professional license)!!
RIGHTS CANNOT be taken away - like a license can. Even Felons keep their first amendment rights.
I'll avoid discussion regarding violent felons losing their 2A rights - as well as their voting rights.
The 2nd Amendment (2A) references a RIGHT, NOT a priviledge, and as such cannot be licensed.
A growing number of states have finally realized this and recognize 'constitutional carry' of a firearm, without license
There are plenty on the left that believe this, own and carry firearms for self protection.
If you don't believe you could use a firearm to Stop a perp trying to harm you or yours, I don't fault you.
Just do NOT hypocritically point a finger at those who do.

Thank you for a fine post and the back up. Truth is honest citizens routinely use firearms thousands of times to stop home invaders, car jackers, robbery suspects, assist police officers in danger, stop mass murders and more almost every day across America. Of course the Left does not want us to know or believe these statistics but they are true. The Left wants everyone to believe if you have a firearm you will use it to kill a family member, will suddenly fall under the black spell of owning a firearm and commit violent crimes and so on, OR the firearm will suddenly go off all by itself with no handling by a human being being necessary.

Ever hear of a refrigerator suddenly going crazy and swallowing a family of 5? Nope, me neither. A refrigerator is an inanimate object just as is a firearm. Put one down on a table all loaded and ready to fire. In the next 200 years it will not have gone off all by itself. It can't think and only does what its handler wants it to do when handled.

I realize that it is virtually IMPOSSIBLE to remove all the firearms in the USA.
Further restrictions will only ensure only criminals have them.

Yes it was somewhat of a lie. But be a man now and admit every nation conceived back then or before had typical problems. In America we had the Indian nations who took, kept and sold slaves including whites as well as other Indians. Whites here kept indentured servants/slaves as well. But every bit of that was going on in other civilized countries across the globe. Blacks and Muslims are STILL to this day keeping slaves. Where is the Democratic Party speaking out against such behavior? Where is Daddy Biden? Why is he not speaking out against such practices? How about you? You are good at running your mouth. Where are your comments right here about slavery still being carried on in other countries. So much for the good little Democrats standing up for freedom for all huh? You do that ONLY to gather votes. POS Biden wants to help the little college students who owe Billions in student loans. But that is only to have those cheap dumb ass students vote for him. What about students who take out loans these days? Will they have recourse in 20 years to tell us they are not going to pay because those students ahead of them did not pay?

Due to the Republican Party in the 1860's slavery was ended after the Civil War. Due to the Republican Party in the 1960's blacks began to recognize their rights and rightful place in America. There is nothing whites can do these days blacks cannot do IF they choose to do so. Their freedom, their equality is up to them now to do as they choose.
Yet you on the Left still whine and bitch about the rights of blacks in America. You should really be bitching to them to get an education, get a job, marry the mother of your children and be the man of your family.
