Good morning all from a cloudy and windy Norfolk, we seem to be stuck with this cold wind. Not a lot planned for the day, slow pot roast of brisket in the oven so that will last us a few days. Finished the back of my knitting and started the first front, will get on with that this afternoon. Have a peaceful day if you can. xx

I really need to finish some of my largest items. I can make socks in a week. I have a few now. So does DD.
Enjoy your knitting.

I need a good knitting project. Always feel better when I’m knitting. I can do crochet stitches but can’t follow the patterns.

There are lots of sites that point out the physical and mental benefits of knitting.
(Although I don't feel that way when I'm up against a badly written pattern )
Check out the free patterns on Ravelry. There are lots and I'm sure you'll find something.

There was talk at Knit Night that a Michaels store is opening in the Cobourg mall. There are a whole bunch of yarn snobs at my LYS. I keep talking about synthetic yarns have a place, especially in baby yarn and for afghans. I think I'm the only reason that the owner carries acrylic yarn at all.

The mechanic found there was a loose valve and now we have heat he said he might have accidentally touched it or it may have been like that. I think the dealer did it when they were replacing the electric wires. Don’t know He checked the symbol and no problem was indicated. I am overdue on changing the oil but he said it’s ok til the 29th when he can do it. Now the air conditioner isn’t working but he will look into it on the 29th. Got home and the kitchen light isn’t on. Needs new bulb. son will do it tomorrow. I have a small heater 7 inches square. Love it. Well tonight it made a medicine like smell and blew cold air. Then hot air. Then the propeller inside was slowing and air was cold so I unplugged it. Don’t know why I’m having these issues. Darn. If I don’t get the car back my friend was going to pick me up and we were meeting another lady for dinner at a Mexican restaurant. I like the atmosphere. They have paintings of ladies in full skirts and men in sombreros. Colorful and pretty. Food was very good and priced decent. I got a vegetarian item with peppers onion mushrooms rice fried beans guacamole sour cream and flat circle bread. Friend said she will order it next time. Split chocolate cake with son. I don’t have a manual they put it on line and it didn’t show any meaning for the symbol. Probably want us to go to dealer for the work. I will never go to that dealer. My friend said a guy she knows had them keep his car quite a while and not do a good repair. He said he won’t go back either. Have appointmemt with therapist for my legs tomorrow.

Our mechanics don't like to keep cars on their lots due to insurance issues. I hope you get your car back soon.
It sounds like it's time to get another heater. I have to get another air cleaner for my room. Mine only works on high speed now and it is too noisy for me to sleep at that speeed.
Everything is made to break these days, even things that are expensive. (Like cars!)
I hope you have a good appointment today.

💯 I’ve been out for my lunch. 🥪 I’ve had a BBQ 🍗 pork pulled. Bun and it was gorgeous. It’s a nice little religious cafe we go to and the acoustics are a bit loud. Someone came in with 2 small kids, perhaps aged 2. They were little u know what’s. They were shouting and creaming as loud as hey could because their voices were echoing, and their mammy and nanny 🧑‍🍼 just ignored them. Then they let them out of the chairs and onto the wooden floor. Well, they ran back and forth over and over again. I was pleased to get out. It’s not the 👧 kids fault. The parents need a good shove…..enough moaning.

Jinx I hope things are getting better for you and Harold. I’m always interested. Lisa…the only way is up….🆙 stay safe girls, have patience, pretend you’re in a cafe in flipping toddlers running and screaching….theyve got me a coiled spring.i need to find my inner peace, but I think it’s gone away. Love yawl…..

I have a few problems when I need to use acrylic yarns; psoriasis irritates my skin and sets of new sites of psoriasis lesions, which are more painful than the lesions that form with no help from other source's, so I rarely use acrylic yarns. It doesn't help that most of my girls have many issues with, that includes my beautiful gdk's! 🤔🤣😂🤣

I am now going to do a bit of a catchup, while I am having a reasonably good few hours. I really hope that everyone is having as good a day as possible, and those who are awaiting some medical treatment for continuing ailments.💖🤒😵‍💫🤧 Hugs to all who need them! xoxoxo

Good morning from Port Hope Ontario Canada. It is 5:56 am EDT and 5'C (41'F). We have rain again. The current weather system is "stuck" in an omega block and can't advance. (It's not snow!) All the ditches and rivers are full of water.
Knit Night was full last night with lots of chatter. The number of "Emotional Support Chickens" are growing. The latest one even has a pom pom on its head. I worked on the 2nd pair of socks for DD (and got it wrong) but I fixed it last night so I don't have "Frogging Friday" today. I had to buy some more of the contrast yarn for the toe, and the owner of the LYS said I think this is the smallest purchase you've ever had here. $2 CAD. I know how to find a deal.
Today it is going to be busy at work as all the people displaced by the alarm testing will be in today. If it is too bad, I can always go to the alternate location. I'm not bringing a lunch. I'm hoping to buy some sushi for lunch and both locations have sushi restaurants across the street. I noticed the last time that I was in the building that they have the Tim Horton's sign uncovered, so here's hoping we get that back and don't have to pay $13 CAD for a 1/2 cup of cold coffee from the vending machine. I don't care one way or the other because I bring my own tea. I used to bring my own kettle too, but now I just bring the hot water in Contigos.
I"m taking DD's 2nd pair of socks (well the first of that pair) to work. I'm not sure if I'll be able to find someplace where I can knit. I've been told I can't knit at my desk. "It's not professional"

I won't be catching up, as I thought I would be, as my brain has just decided that it needs to go to sleep, so I will get on here tomorrow morning, and do some catchup then, It will be a reasonably quiet day, as DH is going on a bike ride, so it will be Sweetie & myself at home, so I should be able to get a bit caught up. Anyway, I hope everyone has a wonderful day, either relaxing or doing whatever you want to do! xoxox

I like Ravelry. I have a lot of books and patterns I’ve collected since I was around 12 years old maybe 8 years. I don’t know what son can do when I die because he won’t know who would love them as I do.
My problem is choosing what to knit. Sometimes a piece just calls my name. Then I’m a happy person. Thanks for the site on benefits of knitting.
The mechanic got the motor light off and fixed the heater. But today the light went on again. He will look at it on the 29th and says it’s ok to drive it. I didn’t realize how much I need my car until I didn’t have it for a month. I’ve always sympathized with people who don’t have a car.

The therapist will wrap my legs so they decrease in size. 3 to 4 weeks 3 times a week. I don't like to be late so when I have an appointment I’m edgy. 10to 12 appointments I’ll be quite edgy. Just glad she can help me.

Wish I knew how to de-chipmunk my property. Don’t want to hurt them just find them a place in the woods. One is as long as a fish fry then I saw a baby maybe more than one. Cost $6,200 to fix the car wiring they chewed. Insurance paid all but $200 which I paid. That would have bought a lot of yarn etc.
