A Few Random Images

Here are few random images I've pulled from my photo storage bin. The first is a Cosmos blossom shot in the back yard of my significant other. She has had the gold cosmos but a couple of years ago several plants showed up with this beautiful lavender color. I had to get an image of them with a Lumix ZS100 late one afternoon.

While visiting the Smokies back in the autumn of 2017 we got fogged in at Blowing Rock. The fog didn't deter the shoppers though. This image was seen and captured along Main Street at one of the many shops that line that old street. Shot with a Canon Powershot G9, which makes amazingly good images.

I purchased my first DSLR back in 2016 - A Pentax K5. I was eager to see how it handled so I went out to my front flower bed and grabbed this shot with the 55-200mm kit lens. I was quite excited about this first shot with a bonafide DSLR - the Bumble Bee couldn't have cared less.

Fog is such a wonderful mood-maker. Capturing the huddled group of umbrellas and the saturated orange pumpkins was perfect!

The low light and dark background for the cosmos shot resulted in quite a beautiful, gentle image.

Thank you for commenting Mike, Bruce, and Linda! I agree Linda, fog and its accompanying moisture really enhances what might be a mundane scene or subject. My problem is hauling my self out of bed early enough to capture interesting views on those foggy mornings we have around here - I never was a morning person. Luckily, that scene was in fog that was hanging around in the middle of the day 😏
