Well it is certainly aptly titled!
It doesn’t really work for me as the top looks incomplete.
I can’t reall break away from the original rule about form/funtion.
Well thought out though.

That's a great point about the top. I didn't attempt to shoot a fuller view because of all the mess behind.

I first started thinking "form vs. function" when I became enamored with hops growing apparatus, as well as the heaters and trellis-style orchards

Many thanks for your time and feedback, Bruce!

Get the idea. For me, I want to see more, as noted, the top looks cut off. Also, I would center it, it really looks off-balance with so much blank space on the right side. The photography itself is right on.

My first thought was OK followed by Hmmm? I guess I just don't get it. It is technically well shot and looks sharp in DDL.

I love the "what on earth is it?" feel to this image!

Thanks for your interest! It's the structure that holds a big umbrella over a table. The horizontal bits are seats without backs and, I think, a table further back. There are several of these at a city-run swimming pool, where I was shooting through chain link fence.

I did a recognizable pic of a lifeguard chair that's harder on the eyes That's in Digital Artistry, here: https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-805169-1.html

Appreciate your time.

It is interesting, but I would like to see a little more on the top.
It seems to look a bit cut off

Yes, that's a concern mentioned by several and I definitely see the point. I remember not attempting to include the top because of ugly bits of the building + sunlight on a hill beyond. Will keep an eye out in case they move one of the tables to a more photographer-friendly spot. Of course, by then they'll have put on the umbrellas

Many thanks for your time and comments.
