I drove to Florida to see a friend who was staying with other friends in Ocala. This is a collection of all the friend's companions who have welcomed me. I hope they make you smile. The cat and her owner had major cancer surgery at almost the same time last summer. Both are thriving.

Thanks. They're great animals. Good to know I have friends in low places (that'd be Florida).

Not the cat. She's psycho though she'll take crackers from me.

Since I'm without a dog right now I got a good fix from these guys, especially that little red one caught falling asleep. He helped me with the physical therapy I must do no matter where I am.

There’s just something therapeutic about interacting with a dog. We have two Boston terriers in our house, so it’s never-ending therapy.

It's true. My cat at home is also good therapy; I am missing him a lot. As I type this the German Shepherd in the photos has her head in my lap. She seems to consider me a cherished but wayward member of her flock.

Beautiful shots of a great family. You captured some great expressions and the photos are technically perfect. I lost my dog a few years ago and my cat a few months ago miss them. They bring a lot of love into the home.

You've been through a lot of loss and losing pets is every bit as hard as losing people, if not more so, because our relationships with animals are comparatively uncluttered, a safe respite. I'm glad you liked these photos.

We couldn’t decide which one to get, but finally decided on the black and white puppy. Then we got Fletcher home and he made us laugh a lot. Sadly we lost Maggie a couple years ago. She was 14, and Fletcher will be 7 in July. (hope you don’t mind me posting a couple photos on your thread)
