What do you think about the new compact system cameras? I have been looking at the Panasonic Lumix DMC G3K system. Good for travel?

The Panasonic Lumix DMC G3K is hardly a new camera, and at only 16Mp, I think you could do better than that. If you're looking for something 'compact', I'd opt for a mirrorless, like my Sony a6500. It does everything that I need (except geo-tag my images and for that I shoot a companion shot with my iPhone, which I then archive with the images from my shooting session).
