Battery won't last long with that VFD display. Then you have to change the battery and reset the watch. So basically you have a watch not to tell you the time but for you to tell it the time.

You only get the display. And for $50 it's quite expensive. More expensive than a typical display like that. Someone may buy it thinking they get a watch but they would get a piece that they wouldn't know how to make it works.
