maxlieberman inspired me to look for Bald Eagles to photograph.

Took the dog to Belfair State Park. Tide was so far out that I am afraid it will never get back in! No Sea Birds! Native People were out at the waterline some 1 kilometer away improving the oyster beds. About 100 people were out in the estuary.

White-crowned Sparrows, American Robins, and American Crows were evident in small numbers. A somewhat Sunny day with White Fluffies and some high Cirrus clouds shading things from time to time; 48F. The sun was shining down on the eagle.

I sat pondering the sad state of things when I noted a large floppy thing coming right at me. Raised my trusty Z9 with 600pF attached, grabbed a handful of focus and tripped the trigger.

The eagle flew straight at me-about 15 feet over my head. The last shot in this set is just about over my head. Missed the end of the bird's Left wing. The bird flew so low that every shot after this one was out of focus as the bird was inside the min focus distance-13.1 feet! I did hear the swoosh of the wings as it flew by.

Big Bird!!! It did cast a brief shadow over me!

The eagle then flew up in the tree and let out a few calls. No small birds were evident once the eagle let out that scream!
