I'm 74 and almost deaf, especially on a cell phone. There is a free app, InnoCaption, paid for by the Federal Government that can only be used by the hard of hearing. It provides an almost instantaneous transcript of the caller's discussion as well as your conversation which appears on the phone screen. It works well and has changed my life. Check it out in your phone's app store.

Thank you for posting this. My mother is all but Deaf.
Her hearing aids are off for repair and she cannot hear anything without them. It’s very frustrating but she has an iPhone that has an app on it that connects to her hearing aids that allows her to get here with.
This app you posted I looked into it and it looks like it could be a real blessing to my mother.
Again, thank you for sharing this. It looks like exactly what she needs.
