I am going to enter a state wide digital photo contest. Which do you think I should use?
Also feel free to send your critiques. You can't hurt my feelings.
Titles are: Bird of Paradise; Still Life at the Pier; Not a Flamingo; Messy Eater; Cheetah Training; Color Wheel; Swallowtail Kite in Flight
You know you can put the titles above (attached to) the images, correct?
It depends on what you and the judges think is important. Out of all of these images, the only one that is really sharp is the guy with the Cheetah. And I think it's the best of the bunch. With the bird of paradise a second place.
I pick #1, #2 and the last one.
what type of contest is it. You have a variety of subjects so I can't tell from that but i think it is important to match your submission(s) with the competition rules.
Generally nice.
The birds - cannot see the eyes, perhaps a little dark and way too small for the real estate (in flight) and a little soft.
The B of P is nice but background is distracting.
The cheetah has harsh lighting and, in my opinion is a very nice "snapshot.
The peer shot with the fishing pole is nice but I think the composition could be improved with the placement of the poles.
The Orangutan looks sharp, has detail, is interesting and nice composition.
Good luck!

My choices would be #2, #5 and #6.

I was drawn more to #6. It's unique which makes be stop and try and fiture out what it is and the "eyes" in the center seem to float. Good luck.
I like the fishing poles and still life, with the messy eater a close third.
That cheetah is magnificent
