Thank you randave2001. Probably 30 or so shots in burst mode to get that one. One advantage of digital over film.

Beautifully done, Jimmy. I wonder if that is his bird catching spot.

Nice3. Not venomous. Good you didn't trim it by mistake.

Thanks Joe. I don't know about birds but I was mowing along my fence a couple of days earlier and he was on my side of the fence on the ground. I tried to catch him to put him in a good spot for photo but of course he went under the fence to the neighbor's property. I chased him back and forth across the fence but he's a fast little guy and finally escaped under some heavy bushes and leaves. I was plenty pleased when he showed up on the Holly and made no attempt to escape

Thanks Sippy. Snakes, spiders and vultures are among my favorite of God's creature for the good things they do for us.

Thanks Mike. The 2nd picture is a little soft but..........oh well, maybe next time I'll do better

The snake looks good though. You could crop out the leaves on the lower left. That should eliminate a lot of the softness.

Crop tightly around the head of the "tongue" image for something unique.
