I am practicing by getting familiar with the multitude of digital brushes that are available and this is a study using a "digital palette knife". I thought it might be a good way to emulate the feathers of the parrot so I gave it a try.
I used the palette knife brush throughout the piece except for the eye and the texture of the facial skin where I used a standard round brush and flat brush.
This parrot was created using a digital painting program and painted with a digital graphic display tablet and stylus.
Bob Ross would be proud of you, sippy.
You are clearly an artist, Gary.

Thanks, Kpmac. Now...if I only had Bob Ross hair!

Thanks, UTMike. Painting with a digital pallet knife was a lot like spreading peanut butter on bread.
Curmudgeon, thanks for stopping by.
Thanks, Elliott. I was experimenting with a different style of digital painting.
A pallet knife painting for sure.
Looks like an acrylic painting. Very well done. Again, I love the eyes you get.
