What would two lions be without an elephant? Well, I'm giving one a go and time will tell how it turns out.
I always start with a loose fast sketch for concept and basic form. I follow that up with line art which will be used for blocking colors and to aid in the placement of shadows and highlights.

Thanks, Veralisa296. I used a feature of the paint program that creates a mirror image as you draw. It came in handy when sketching the little elephant for as I drew the left side it was drawing the right side at the same time stroke for stroke. How cool is that...?
