Now that I can see them.. . . .love Stella and the goose. The first one is interesting. Really well done.
So glad you enjoyed, Kathy. Thank you!

The first one does it for me. The bonus, it doesn’t look like a composite. The second one not so much . Stella looks way to big for the scene. Or perhaps I could be wrong and she is a very large cat.😀 The third one I could take it or leave it.
When it comes to film Noir that certainly is not my strong point.
Thanks very much for your time, Frank!

#1 - below is original from ACR. I heavily saturated colors and vibrance in ACR because of plans with b&w.

#2 - yes, the perspective is off, but how often do you see a Canada goose staring out a window at a cowering cat?

This was my first deliberate attempt at Film Noir. Of course, I had to go a bit different from the cliche shots you see when you Google the genre - 'cause that's what is fun for me

Thanks again!

My favorite genre of film. all three of your images are flawless...

#1.. the vulture at the water tank. i recall a murder movie ... the body was hidden in the apartment building water tank... investigating complaints of odd taste revealed... yuck... a rotted body. What movie???

#2.. A ripoff of Hitchcock's Rear-Window... but the murderer digging holes in the garden, being watched by James Stewart, is Stella.

#3.. ONE WAY is a strong message with which to begin the photo story. The array of lines going at many angles is quite effective... the only true horizontal is the vague line under well-fed Stella.
My favorite genre of film. all three of your image... (show quote)
Thanks so much for your marvelous comments, Don.

I tried to google movie results, came up with some obscure Japanese title, but also there was a true incident in Los Angeles in 2013.

#2 - What a fun comparison; I hadn't thought of any specific movies. The thing is it's the goose looking out the window and Stella is the "caught on tape" murderer

#3 - Stella looks more "well fed" than in reality because of the pov of my shot of her, and the way her body is turned.

Your time and interest are much appreciated!

I've been watching Caitlin Clark chasing fame, and every time she hit one of those amazing 3s from nearly mid-court, I yelled "Boom!" That's what I did for #1 here. A fantastic winner.

I just read your flickr comment, so am glad you explained the boom! I'm very pleased you like the result, Sam. I didn't even have to add the hawk; he came into the frame on his own

All three are interesting but IMO No. 1 is head and shoulders above the rest

I am certainly “compositionally challenged” (as well as in a few other ways we won’t go into). I really like #1 for its overall appeal, its darkness, its mystery. I like Stella in #2, apparently eyeing the goose although it is a rather large bird for a cat. I like the juxtaposition of the lines in #3. It too has a dark, mysterious feel. These images have surely made me “feel”. I’m not sure what I feel, but I think it is mostly unease and discomfort.

Unease and discomfort are perfect. Thank you, Ellen! Your continued interest and support are very much appreciated.
