Enzo worked VERY CLOSELY with alfa's drivers to ensure they knew their capabilities and potential of the car they were driving,which lead to many,many victories! theres a little enzo in every ALFA ROMEO and us alfistis feel it every time we drive one.

In my opinion, the greatest victory in any automobile race was Alfa's in a 1930's French Grand Prix. Don't recall the year, if early Enzo was a driver, if later he was team manager. Anyway, the Alfas were running first, second and third and getting booed by the French spectators all the way. So the team manager ordered food, and when it arrived had the cars pull off the track. The drivers ate a multi-course meal at a table set with tablecloth, napkins, etc. and then got back into their cars. And they still finished first, second and third. One of the old sports car mags, I think it was Sports Cars Illustrated, had a great article on it.
