All of us are different I realize. For me, I do buy refurbished things, but rarely am tempted on used goods at prices even 50% of new. I'm not saying a near mint state used item isn't worth it, I'd rather but new. Just me.

Whoa, not a Testarossa but a 328GTS. Around $70,000.

One’s a FERRARI, the other is Fiat with a yellow and black prancing horse sticker on it. Sort of like the Porsche 914 was just an expensive and ugly VW. 😎

Many photo stores, like MPB, KEH, Robert's and on and on, make their living selling "used" items. Chances are that if I'm looking for something...golf clubs...cars...cameras...anything that I'm interested in buying, I'd certainly be enticed into purchasing said item at that savings. I really think you're in the minority. But, as you said you're entitled to your opinion.

I offered these lenses for sale earlier in the week. I've had two esteemed UHH members ask me why so expensive? As I stated in the ad these are all like new. The Canon RF 70-200 f/2.8 L IS USM, for example cost me $2976, new from B&H. In "like new" (as is mine) condition, from MPB, this lens is selling for $2399. MPB offered me $1700. So, I figured a fair price would be $1950... and that's still $700 cheaper than MPB for the same lens and condition. And I'm paying for the postage and insurance. How low should I go?
If you're interested check these prices against MPB. You can find all of these cheaper on ebay, but are they all this nice? Do they have the original packaging? Clean glass? Lens covers? No scratches or marks of any kind?

Well, I guess I'm splitting hairs but if MPB is selling a like new for $2399 and you want $1950, that's a difference of only $499, not the $700 you mention. Your price still sounds like a good deal though for someone willing to buy a "like new" lens.

You're right, hj. The $700 difference was between what MPB offered me, $1700 and what they would sell it for, $2399. My bad. That was how I came up with $1950, which I thought was fair.

Your prices are more than fair, some people just like to mind other people's business. It really sucks when Hoggers feel they can turn someone's classified ad into a discussion thread.

If MPB offered you $1700 and they would buy it after they see it in person then I think your price is fair. You only wanted $250 above the price offered by MPB.

I don't known if you are ask the right price for your camera. If people don't like your price, tell them to move on.
