Lovely photographs and well worth getting up early to attend.

Marvelous scenes...a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for most!!
Yes, lucky we have attended twice
A true photographer has the patience to get the shot as intended. And if the first picture is what you found when you arrived, you were there for a while. Glad things turned out as you expected. Awesome shots, especially given the difficulty involved.
Thank you. The dawn photographs of St Peter’s Sq were a bonus. We were in the queue in the corner of the square very early and I casually walked over and more than presently surprised to find it well lit. The photos of the Pope fell into two categories. Hi speed shots as he whizzed by on his popemobile followed by zoomed shots when he sat and engaged with salutations and prayers from seven speakers (English, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Polish and Arabic.). Some of the latter shots are really nice (but limited by the amount of photos you can post on UHH.) particularly his smile at the two female speakers; plus two where he engaged with the crowd. Great start to our vacation over here. My wife has just this minute shouted out that she has found a YT video showing us on the front row taking picks. Now whether all this will get us instant access into the pearly gates is another matter.
