I'm sure you've heard about that low frequency hum that people all around the world have been hearing since the 1970s. In one case, it was caused by the midshipman fish on the west coast, but this is different. No one know what causes the hum, but the theory is that there are multiple causes, both natural and manmade. The maker of the video linked below thinks it has something to do with underground gas pipes. They are high pressure and high temperature, and that combination causes a hum in pipes. I think some people are able to hear or detect low frequency sounds, so they hear the hum, while other people don't. You can try to offer an explanation, but experts have come up empty after fifty years of research. This is unrelated to the Havana Syndrome.
