I'm a Sucker for "Deals"

I got an email from Discover offering me $25 credit if I spend $25 five times on my Discover card by the end of the month. I bought food, gasoline, and items from Amazon. On Amazon, I have various lists: shopping, computer, cameras, etc. It was easy adding three items from my Shopping list. After checking out, I saw that they would be delivered on separate days, so there wasn't $25 total. I canceled the order. I had to place three more orders before I was able to get one that totaled just over $25. I was careful to make sure the totals did not include sales tax. I have over two weeks to make two more purchases.

Next month, I'll get a $10 statement credit from eBay. I love playing "games" like this.

Glad you're going to spend it anyway.
They love getting people who didn't "plan" on spending.

I had forgotten about that, and I had to look in Quicken. It doesn't look like I got anything from them, but that's a lousy organization. I bought wheels and snow tires with no interest till May 2025, so that was okay.

I forget the details of that offer, but they had a "Gotcha!"

I needed some cleaning products and computer/camera items, so I'm all set. It will all arrive on Monday.

I think you are the reason the economy recovered so quickly after the pandemic, Jerry!

...a sale on anything.

I placed my four $25 orders, so I can put the Discover card back into the drawer.

Ah yes. The games we play.
Discovery had the 5% back at restaurants from January to March. Every time I went to a restaurant I used my Discover Card.
I have a Chase/Amazon card so I always get 5% back on Amazon purchases. I check all my CCs for current specials. Last year I put a down payment on our latest car and got 2 or 3% from Pay Pal.
Gotta Look for the deals!
