I can imagine this scene in a movie - maybe an "Addams Family" movie.

I still remember trooping out in second grade to view the sun thru a glass that our teacher had smoked with a candle. No wonder I can no longer see. Wonder what the liability issues would be in today's world. Fortunately there were lots of kids who wanted to look so no one got to view the sun too long.

Many schools around DFW will be closed Monday so they won't have any liability for kids not wearing the glasses.

Heard today that a lot of schools are canceling classes for the day because they fear litigation should a student stare at the sun too long.

Funny - sort of.
There is a local place that is having an eclipse party and offering free eclipse glasses. Fortunately, I have a TV and a computer.
