If Biden's proposed changes to Title IX are adopted, I can foresee the future where teams will recruit individuals to go trans to play on their teams to even things out, or perhaps, even give them an edge. Perhaps the future will hold even beefier and beefier trans athletes, faster swimmers and runners and stronger lacrosse players than we've seen in the past. Guys missing out on athletic scholarships as males may get them by going trans!! The future is bright for the Designated Trans Athlete!!

I see a movie in this. Gotta be a comedy.

Much like the election year charade of being concerned about immigration after a three year worldwide invitation being extended Biden insiders have decided to put off the athletic provisions of the April ‘23 proposal until after the election. Democrats don’t feel transgenders cheating (and possibly injuring) America’s daughters and taking coveted title IX scholarships polls well in an election year.

I'm still trying to figure out if you have to actually DO anything to be trans other than declare it.

Maybe at the next Olympics, we can have all the men that couldn't make the men's team say they're women and compete in those slots. I wonder if the rest of the world is ready to embrace our liberal view of what a "woman" is.

What if one of the star athletes was trans by day and a husband and father by night? So, what would they be? Eligible or not? Reminds me of the movie The Fortune Cookie.

Guys, you're off on a tangent.
Trans refers to transgendered. You're thinking of transvestite.
A transvestite is one who dresses in the clothing of the opposite sex. That person still has the genitalia they were born with and thus a male transvestite could not compete in an event with female athletes.
Transgendered involves transitioning through hormone therapy and surgery.
If you think you want a swimming medal so bad that you'd remove your penis and have a functioning "vagina" fashioned through plastic surgery, then go right ahead. Or in the case of Denise, he could have his vagina removed and surgically transitioned into a penis.
Whatever floats your boat.

btw - Privacy laws prevent us from obtaining an exact number of trans athletes, but it is estimated that there are less than 100 in all the U.S.A.
Not something, I'm losing sleep over.

You're wrong, at least the trans community thinks you're wrong. You don't have to start transitioning to be embraced by the trans community. And they state that no one can determine the Trans status of an individual except that individual.

Dang, you don't keep up, do you? Leah Thomas, for instance, swam on the UPenn mens team. Leah was able to swim with the women by taking a series of hormone shots which decreased Leah's testosterone level and muscle mass to some extent. The rules do not require that an individual go through surgery to be able to compete with women. One of the complaints that female athletes have is being in the same locker room with an individual that is anatomically fully male.

However, my post was just meant to be a bit of fun. Remember the old movie Gentlemen Prefer Blonds? Kinda the same thing with sports instead of a traveling band.

I would like to know where you or Frank pulled this 100 or so number out of? You can’t argue how insignificant the number is yet attempt to mainstream a mental disorder through politics, corporate arm bending and the media. You make obsession or merely focusing on the issue quite easy. I’m sure the vast majority of Americans wish that it like any mental disorder was treated effectively by professionals in a private manner.

When this story was hot a couple of years ago, several of Lia's teammates stated "she" was still intact as a male. Their other issue was "she" admitted to being attracted to woman and wanted to continue dating woman. They felt it was a fox in the henhouse environment in the locker room.

I don't think you can find any official statement on whether Lia ever had bottom surgery.
