Online Medical Forms

I made an appointment with my doctor tomorrow, and I had to fill out many online forms. It took me twelve minutes to give them all the information that they already have. This has gotten to be standard operating procedure since doctors have become part of huge conglomerates. I had to sign my name four times using my mouse, and that was not exactly my official signature. It will be interesting to see how they can make the process worse in the future.

Don't entice them to do so.......
They will find a way.

Very annoying. So are the numerous reminders I get for appointments but I guess it’s easier to to take the shotgun approach.

They will find a way without my help. A couple of years ago, I had to click "Confirm" to confirm the appointment.

I get confirmation requests from almost all doctor's offices.

I get the same request when they remind me of my Dr.'s appt, I never input that info in, as they already have the info, so I don't input it...

What happens with me is as I check in, the receptionist says, "I see you've filled in the forms online, so you're all set." In the past, I'd be given a clipboard full of paper. Before the multiple conglomerations, there was none of that.

I have experience the same frustration with my Dr. app notifications. Been there once and did all that they had asked of me including taking pictures of my insurance cards front and back and attach them to the fill in pages.
I stopped doing that in the three follow up appointments, I stopped at the check in window and told them I already filled in there forms, look it up. I am NOT doing that again and again. There only follow up was that it is there policy and that the card MIGHT have changed as of the first of the year because you were forced to change insurance coverage or companies.

I don't like to fill out them forms online but it's a better than having to fill them out at the doctor office.
