I know the owner of Corvette Repair. Kevin is an absolute artisan when it comes to restorations on any Corvette. I've seen all of his "see through" cars up close. And I've judged many that have come from his shop. Top quality.

I apologize for these two shots. They're not up to my standards. The sun was just peeking over the horizon, I hadn't set the camera to deal with the background stuff, and the activities of the preceding night hadn't turn me loose yet.
I'm going to show these shots anyway because you will never see anything like this again.

Yes...highly interesting! I would like to attend (as visitor) such "show car events/fair" in France.
Hélas, it will never happen. By the way, I wonder if this car is allowed to drive on open public roads???? Or is it only allowed to "pose" at shows?

Interesting, wonder what caused them to do this. The old body must have rusted out😆.

That's pretty cool! Who was behind the transparent Corvette?

Hi, Bill.

Thanks for visiting and commenting. This car was built by a Corvette restoration company in N.Y. A finished restoration project only shows its exterior face. The majority of the work is hidden by body panels, etc. This company wanted a means to show their clients all of the " hidden " work that's involved. So they built this see-through car. It helps them justify all of the hours and labor that goes into a high-end restoration.

The same company built two other cars similar to this one. One of those was an earlier model Corvette. I don't know what the third build was.

Hi, Smitty.

Thanks a lot for stopping by and enlightening all of us with some history behind the car...and the company.

I have seen pictures of it being driven on the street. I assume it meets all of the legal requirements to do so.

The body shell on a Corvette is fiberglass, which won't rust. This car was built to function as a marketing tool.
