That's incorrect. It seems in Kent you refer to tossers but in most other parts of the UK it is a wanker and or tosser as well. However, the UK is not predominantly "Tosser" as you suggest. Maybe you just don't get out much, outside of Kent, that is!

A British slang term (wanker; hence the letter W + anchor image), highly insulting and sexually oriented. I don't blame the Australian gentleman at all for not being amused. Still, as a road safety warning I'd guess it gets the point across.

It depends how you say it in Aussie. It's not so much sexual as it is for accurately describing recalcitrant, selfish, unstable, narcissistic a-holes.
