Which image do you like best? These two shots were taken a few seconds apart, but I was using a zoom lens and the first shot was taken at 324 mm and the second at 151 mm. Both shots were taken with a Canon R6 at SS 1/200 (to capture the rain drops), ISO 2500, f/7.1 (wide open with this lens). The first shot has a branch in the lower L corner cloned out. Both shots were processed in PS with birds brightened and BG darkened slightly. Both shots are about 75% FF.

Love them both because I am a bird lover. Have had birds in my life all of my 86 years so I may be guilty of focusing more on the birds than on the impact of the photos, but the photos are beautiful!

I am torn between 1 and 2, but the #2 seems to be sharper with better contrast, although I like the comp better on #1 - 2 things are better than 1, but as they say three's a crowd. Or, is it Three's Company? My eye keeps bouncing back and forth between the pair and the lone bird in #2. Tough one.

Still about even. I do not need to choose one or the other, but I was curious about what others thought. Sometimes (in fact, often), I ask for other opinions and I see things differently after reading/talking about those differences.

I like the three. I always seem to go for odd numbers in my composition.

Shot number 2 seems more descriptive to me.

Both are very nice, but the first one is just 2 birds on a branch. The second one with the bird on the lower branch adds more to the story line. So, my choice is #2.

Both shots are good but I think that I prefer the bottom shot.

Okay, I know you asked for which one I liked best. I like them both! But for different reasons. I like one, because I like subjects closer. I like two because it invokes a different response. One of being left out. At least that's how I see it. Both are very nice photos. 👌

The second picture has the bird on the top right looking down upon the lower bird…..ands to the story of the picture. My wife would also remind me that “3” is more feng shui.
