This is our little female mini-bull terrier, Halo which is short for "Wicked Halo" for she can be both an angel and a devil. Halo and Rainy (our young male) are both starting their first show season.
I'm getting accustomed to using the graphic display tablet and the vast assortment of 'digital brushes' that are available in the graphic painting program. As with Photoshop, layers are a key feature in creating graphic artwork. I've taken dozens of photos of Halo and she sits on the couch with me as I play on the computer so I have handy references even though it cost me many treats to get her to pay attention to me when I need her to.
The best part of creating this piece is the Better Half wanted me to do yard work today, however, when she saw that I was doing a portrait of Halo (HER dog) she told me that the yard could wait until tomorrow (I'm hoping for rain now).
Well done, Gary! You can have all of our rain that you want.
Nicely done Sippy. I got two bee shots today. Maybe Spring is here
We had rain for the past two days - your turn.
Very nice work, Gary.

Halo is beautiful as is your work.
Halo is a winner. It's hard to imagine that she has a devilish side.
I overall like the treatment. But the white line on the dog's face I find a bit distracting. I don't think it is from cutting and pasting. Since the line runs down to the nose.
