I use a Sigma 10-20 on my D7200. I really like it.

Make sure it is the version II as version I does not have a focus motor built into the lens which is required by the 3XXX series of Nikon cameras.

I have & shoot with the first version of the Tokina AT-X Pro SD 11-16mm f/2.8 (IF) DX for Nikon.
Trust Uncle Ken here...
https://www.kenrockwell.com/tokina/11-16mm.htmLike Ken, I totally agree Nikon doesn't make any DX lens that even comes close to Tokina's ultra fast AT-X Pro SD 11-16mm f/2.8 (IF) DX for Nikon. And I'm a hardcore Nikon guy but Nikon refuses to market Professional Kit for DX (their apparent strategy is to force folks to buy FX glass)
The Tokina AT-X Pro SD 11-16mm f/2.8 (IF) DX for Nikon also uses professional size 77mm filters (that alone should be reason enough to avoid the plastic Nikon DX lenses) I recently sold my ultra fast Tokina AF 50-135mm f2.8 AT-X SD PRO 535 DX lens for Nikon (thank you UHH for the User Buy/Sell forum). That lens has virtually no equal in Nikon DX glass, only the AF 50-150mm f/2.8 DC OS APO HSM Sigma can match it, and since it has OS I opted to keep the Sigma glass instead (I hand hold for Portraiture & Editorials).
Nikon makes several very good DX F-Mount bodies (D500 and also the D7200 which has better IQ than the D500)
I also shoot the Nikon D300s which is the only Professional grade DX body besides the D500... Love my D300s which blows away it's older sister the D300! Love the D300s!
Hope this helps Urnst or is at least food for thought.
All the best on your photographic journey.

https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1386310-REG/nikon_20067b_af_p_dx_nikkor_10_20mm.htmlI shoot the interiors of a lot of europian churches. Some of them are really small and tight. (not my example) I carry a Nikon 10.5 mm fisheye. In Lightroom and probably just about any PP program, you can adjust away the fisheye look quickly with a slider. If you want the fisheye look you just don't correct it.
Fisheye with no correction.

Reassuring to see your level of talent here on UHH.
Please do continue to share your inspirational artistry in as it's is truly appreciated.
I only find your level of photographic competency on flickr now... enough said.
As Tdozier wrote, the Sigma 10-20 is a very good lens... and I agree 100% with him: I shoot often with this lens. The posted pictures speak by themselve!
That said, don't get this witness wrong: the TOKINA 11-16 is also a very good super wide angle lens.
I choose the Sigma because its FL range is a little bit wider and longer than the Tokina's.
Regarding "Image Quality", there is probably neither obvious nor noticable difference...as far as the rumors on diverse forums for photo in France let us know.
If price is not a problem, buy a Sigma: it will make You happy ...in the same way the Tokina would do but think about the light difference in focal length.
Hope this help.
The Sigma 8-16 does a great job - keep it level - and easily enlarges to 20x30

The little one gets the most use, usually on a D7200.
