The beta version is not intended to be used as your main Photoshop working software, it is intended to be used to try out new features and then perhaps report to Adobe what you find to be good or bad about it, as well as make suggestions for features you'd like to see. It should be installed along with the current version and used only when malfunctions and crashes won't interfere with critical work. It is a beta; it will crash.
I understand that. I had both on my computer. Both were working fine until they weren't. Once it would not allow me to move a photo from LR to PS for editing is when I contacted Adobe. Even the guy on the phone had a problem dealing with the issue. Nothing seemed to work. So we got rid of beta and had to reinstall PS. Not the end of the world but it still took over and hour. After that phone call we because BFF.
