It was gusting over 30mph that night. The tripod was useless.

I was on the south side. Most of the wind surfer people use the north end. There was almost too much wind (gusts at 30+ mph) to surf carefully.

Yeah, that places always catches a lot of water wind...That's a shark highway right there as well...a large inlet.
I've seen some huge hammerheads in that area. We used to boat over and swim when I was a younger foolish man.

There were some people fishing for sharks. Used a 30 inch bonita for bait. Said that black tips were spawning in the bay. But too windy for them

I stropped all that years ago once I realized how precarious the ocean fish pop's have become.
