Couldn't agree more. I sure as heck do not want to see what everyone is eating every hour and day of the week. Selfies do not impress. And go ahead and walk through my door uninvited. Someone might just get well ventilated. I miss the small country town I grew up in that is now turned into a large urban sprawl with no neighborly feel. My kids and grandkids do not get to enjoy walking home, hiking, biking, staying out until dark with the other kids on the block without fear of being abducted, molested or worse. Sadly it is going to get a whole heck of a lot worse before it gets better. FACT.

Sometimes civilizations have to swing all the way to the left before they come back to center. The only civilizations that have survived are those that were nomadic. Think about it.

I found social media to be a valuable tool in vetting prospective hires for our business. Far too many times I would find the person sitting before me during the interview was not quite the person they appeared to be. I believe if someone could not make good decisions for themselves, as evident on their social media posts, they most likely would not make good decisions for our company.

Absolutely. The first thing I do after receiving a rental application is look at the profile on Facebook - often very enlightening (and no, I do not mean ethnicity)

I am tired of bumping into people who stop suddenly to take a selfie. Such a narcissistic generation!

I agree with what you are saying here. Often when Mrs Rodeoman and I are out for a meal, we will see couples with their children. They are on their cellphones and the kids are sitting there bored . As you say, the general use of the the phone seems to be to broadcast "here I am" and "this is what I' m doing.
I will add a caveat, however, and that is lonliness of all age levels is one of major problems in the United States. Most folks want to feel a sense of being welcomed and included and that they matter. I believe that very often when some folks reach out on this forum it is to make a connection with others as much as it is to talk about some thing related to photography or chitchat inanities.
