I'm a cancer survivor also and I rejoiced as I read your post. I hope there's no hidden meaning in that "for now" at the end. Also, your replies to comments have blessed my heart.

Awww, thank you so much. So nice of you to say. I'm happy to hear that you are a survivor too.

No, no hidden meaning there. I am the one who is blessed the most if God uses anything I say or do to bless someone else. I hope it means I am at least sort of fulfilling my purpose here. I appreciate your kindness.

By God's grace you're where you're supposed to be, and I'm glad.

God has always said “ I will never forget you nor will I forsake you” How true that is. Remember He is not through with you yet and He will see his will accomplished through you. Always be a blessing to someone each day
Glad you’re still here to bless us too!

Thank you so much Jim. I believe He put us all here for each other. I believe that He gives us all some kinds of hardships so we can tell others what He has done for us. If I lived to be 200, and praised Him every minute, it would never be enough praise for all He's done for me.

I’m sure your attitude and spirit had a lot to do with it. Glad to hear.

Thank you very much. My Dr told me that people with a good attitude are most likely to survive. Then he told me that my goofy sense of humor would help too.

Thank you Ed. That is so kind of you to say that. It's people like you that keep UHH interesting and beautiful, and "interesting" and "beautiful" keep me coming here

Congratulations Jo. Wishing you many more years and only small mole hills to scale. Still have a couple of more years for checks but no cancer detected for a couple of years.

I think God has blessed you beyond our wildest dreams

Thank you so much. He did for sure and so many other times as well. If I praised Him over and over every minute for the rest of my life, it would never be enough for what He's done for me.

And we are so fortunate and glad you are here to share with us. Sure beats the alternative. Cancer sucks. Fight fight fight. Someday they will find a way to greatly reduce the risks and improve the treatments. Blessings to you.

Jim

Thank you Jim. I am so thankful that it happened to me because it gave me the chance to share it with others.
I am convinced that if we never see rain, we can't appreciate sunshine.
Whoever wrote the song "Into Each Life, Some Rain Must Fall" was very smart.
I pray that a way to reduce the risks and improve the treatments will come soon.

My cancer operation was only 32+ years ago followed by lung-damaging blood clots and full phlebitis in my right leg. But here I am at age 90 telling you about it. Still functioning and occasionally working so I thoroughly understand your feelings. P.S Used to listen to Minnie Pearl on the Grand Old Opry All those years ago.

How GREAT to see this. Congratulations and Hallelujah!!! I'm so glad you are doing as well as you are.
Minnie Pearl was so funny. Everyone who knew her well said she was not just a good woman but a really sweet LADY at all times.
Stay well and stay safe.
