A pig's kidney was transplanted into a man. Hearts and kidneys - I think we're about to see a stampede of pigs out of the country.

The use of pig organs may be the solution to the feral hog problem we are experiencing in some locales.

My Better Half has often called me a pig so, if the time comes for me to get an organ replacement, I may be a perfect match. By the way, have you ever seen a pig's "manhood"? It's quite impressive!

Would those parts turn someone into a Wild Man?

35 or so years ago, my grandmother had heart valve replaced using one from a pig. She walked around the floor of the hospital saying "oink" afterwards. I got a big laugh out of that.

Hey, Jerry
I have suffered from chronic diarrhea for 10 years. Well, they just diagnosed that my pancreas is not producing enough of certain enzymes to thoroughly digest my food, but now I can take a little pill that supplies the deficient enzymes, and I am substantially cured- course, I’ll have to continue taking the pill for life. Guess where the pill’s ingredients comes from? The pancreas of the faithful pig! Yeah!!

So glad you have been given help.

I know someone who has had chronic diarrhea for years… been to several gastroenterologist… no help. Recently, she saw a suggestion on line … try avoiding gluten… it works for her. Changed her life.

I guess if a Middle East man needed a transplant, they would elect to die rather than accepting a pig what-ever.

I am not Mexican . . . but one of my "favorite things to eat" is a Mexican soup called Menudo . . . which is a soup that usually contains pig entails. It is delicious.

I may be mistaken but I’m fairly certain that early experimental transplant surgeries used pigs as donors and recipients because of the similarity between pigs and human anatomical functions. This latest event takes it a step further.

A pigs heart is a close to a human as any animal. Go figure. Eat up boys!

Rejection is the big issue for anyone having an organ transplant. Lifelong anti-rejection drugs go along with the transplant. A long road for those who have undergoe the operation. Enjoy every day.

How about the month we celebrate Easter? Ham seems to be a popular dinner choice, not for me, though.

This may be one of the greatest Medical breakthroughs yet. Imagine dialysis being a thing of the past?
