A beautifully photographed set Jim! Each of these buildings deserves the individual attention you have given them. We have talked in the past about the value of recording this aspect of western history and I appreciate your efforts very much. Well done.
Phil

Hey Phil...good seeing you and thanks for stopping by. I'm still out there pressing the button and always hope to bring subjects like these to the hog. Gonna post a few more from here this morning!!

This is a terrific array of shots, Jim. I see a lot of old towns in my stomping grounds. However, there's rarely more than 2 or 3 really interesting buildings and almost never do I see the colors you've recorded. The cost of materials, and even more of a consideration, the lack of skilled labor that can create such front facades insures you won't see new stuff looking like that. Thanks for sharing what you've shown here.

Tom

Thank you very much for this post, Tom. With construction prices, zoning laws and special interest groups telling you what you can do (if you pass thier board review), its amazing anything with class gets off the drawing board! Anyhow, like you, I appreciate seeing and sharing the "old stuff" and a few more posted shortly!!

Wonderful set Jim - love the old buildings! Lots of character on display and I think builders took more pride in what they built back in the day.

Thanks Bill...I agree about the professional pride. Too many contractors get their help standing outside a Home Depot!!

At Mt. Pleasant, Utah and their historic buildings. We love to drive through these old towns and capture their beauty. Architecture today seems so sterile by comparison. This will probably be a multi part series to showcase Mt. Pleasant before moving on to other locations.
