Great looking car. I'm not keen on the double chrome strip on the door and front fender.....different strokes for different folks. It's still a beauty though.

I knew a guy who had a '51 hardtop back in the '50s. His was the only one ('51) that I had ever seen. They must have been rare. Nice job on this one, I like the taillight treatment.

Love these cars. When I went off to college in 1961 I was driving a slicked up 51 fleetline with new paint, new sear covers, new headliner, port-a-walls, and I added a heater and push button radio. Wish I had a photo of it. My dad and I had gone to a wrecking yard bought a “new” engine and stick shift transmission. The seat covers and headliner was $25. The paint job $12.50 because we taped it ourselves. What fun we had. At the time my dad owned a tote-the-note lot. What a way to grow up. Thanks for sparking the memories.
Beautiful - you're doing a great job! Well done!
GMs introduction of the hardtop design really gave a boost to the “stylishness” of their coupe designs. This one is a beautiful example of that style impact. I love the maroon and cream color scheme - it must have been popular in the day as my Dad had a ‘49 Nash coupe in the same color scheme. Not sure about the customizing of the tail lights.

Beautiful colour. It will look great tooling down the road!
