Sorry Don and UHH folks. The Rolling Stones never were and never will be "jazz musicians". I fully understand them performing in New Orleans, but at the New Orleans Jazz Festival?

Well even though I am just a year older than Jagger, I am too old for The Rolling Stones and the Beatles. Buddy Holly and early Elvis. From there I moved backwards to big bands and the “great American songbook.”

They'll be pulling it more people to hear the jazz. I've seen other genres at jazz festivals, especially blues. The Stones are blues based.

Too right! Other than than the original blues musos themselves, the Stones and the other early Poms put blues music on the map for white America in the 60s.
